What are some solid 2000 to 2500watt rms amps, for the money now a days due to the fact the shop in my area only carries a couple brands, and I'm looking for one's that make their power @ 1ohm thanks for any help.

I can pretty much tell you right now that you are not going to find two good 2500watt rms amplifiers for $1000. (unless you know people in the right places or you purchase them illegally) Orion and Eclipse are reliable amps at a good price. I know that Orion makes a 2500 watt RMS mono amp for $899. I've owned many Orion amps and they are some of the best amps out there. The wattage is true to what they say, they have decent efficiency, they last forever (I have one that still works after over 10 years of abuse), and they offer a very competitive price on their stuff. Of course there are many other amps out there that can get the job done, but I would go with Orion if your looking for just a loud SPL type system.

sorry but like others said...there is no way you can buy two amps that put out a realistic 2000-2500 watts rms for under 1000 bucks....unless you can find deals on used amps

I have also brought up the topic before, and he is yet to reply, on what he intends to do to support 5000 WRMS

No amp is 100% efficent, so saying by chance he gets a very good D class amp that is 75% efficent.

7500Watts input at 14 volts (perfectly stable voltage) would require 535 amps of current availible.

Your looking at dual 250 amp alts just to supply the system, you might get away with dual 200 amps, but you still need extra to run accessories on the car.

Please address this before you run into something you are not planning for, and in the long run have only 1000-2000WRMS coming from your "BIG" amps, or worse off you end up toasting them
