im using my standard car radio which is connected to a converter, there are a set of rca's that run from that converter to 1 amp. i recently bought another amp and now want to run a second set of rca's to my new amp. do i need to buy a converter with 2 positive and 2 negative outputs because the one i currently have only has 1 positive and 1 negative outputs or is there another way to do this without having to buy a new converter?

Yes there is another way. You will need to purchase 2 Y adapters and another patch cord. The converter has a left and a right output. you just happen to have a red and a black patch cord connected to it.  .
