If anyone want to view the actual write-up go to kicker.com go to the pressroom tab, Kicker news tab, and its the second article on the right side on 7/29/2007 Soundoff competitions? Still rollin with kicker!
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - KICKER stereo competitors and Solo-Baric subwoofers reigned supreme once again at a recent regional soundoff event at Loud and Clear Car Audio.
On July 14, Team KICKER and Team Loud and Clear set SIX world records, all with L7 and L5 subs. In all, KICKER gear won 11 trophies – one third-place, a pair of runners-up, and eight champions – solidifying the notion on the soundoff circuit that KICKER continues to be an audio force to be reckoned with. KICKER competitors have been conquering the Sound Pressure and Sound Quality events since the 1990s.
“I am very happy to see this being done,” said KICKER team captain and two-time world champion Bruce Ogden, who raced to the title in the Stock 1801-3000 power class.
Bruce wasn’t the only champ present, though. KICKER competitor Kevin Ecker is also a two-time world champion who broke records at the event and grabbed the Stock 601-1800 trophy. Teammate Richard Turner (Stock 3001 ) also set a new world record, making for a clean sweep from a trio of KICKER guys who have six world titles between them.
Congrats gang! We appreciate the hard work and the LIVIN’ LOUD lifestyle!
REGIONAL RESULTS:
- Darren Patterson, Stock 0-600 WR 153.5dB using 4 Solo-Baric L5 12s - beating the old record by 1.1db;
- Kevin Ecker, Stock 601-1800 WR 154.1dB using 4 Solo-Baric L7s and 2 ZX1500.1 amps;
- Bruce Ogden, Stock 1801-3000 WR 155.5dB using 6 Solo-Baric L7s and 4 ZX1500.1 amps;
- Richard Turner, Stock 3000 WR 153.4dB using 2 Solo-Baric L7 12s and 2 KX2500.1 amps (old school);
- Jeff and Angie Sanford, Pro Stock 601-1800 WR 155.9dB using 6 Solo-Baric L7s;
- Jeff Chilcott, Pro Stock 1801-3000 WR 155.5dB using Solo-Baric L7s and ZX1500.1 amps
I was using 6 10 inch L7's and 4 kicker zx1500.1 amps. Some may wonder why this score is diffrent from others they have seen me do. The reason is because this was for a legal world record run, hence, car off, doors sealed, meter on the windshield, and 2 runs back to back, which the lower of the 2 counts

Hey Jeff... Glad to see someone on here that is an avid user of kicker audio. I've got 2 solobaric L7 12s right now and a ZX1500.1. I'm going to put these into a chevy xtreme extended cab. I was thinking about putting in 2 more L7 12s. What would you reccomend?

Pffff - Kicker, my Lear Jet XL 12's will pwn you mang. Especially when they are in a 12th order inside out super box and fire through the window. After that, Congrats Jeff.

You might need a real lear jet to get up with me....hehe.
As far as adding 2 more 12's I think 2 12L7's in a picup with the right enclosure would be a good combo with the zx1500.1 This is by no means reccomended by kicker, but I will say the zx1500.1 will run for a good long time before getting hot at 1 ohm. I know we drove ours daily at 1 ohm and no probs yet! was getting roughly 2100-2200 watts clamped off of it at 1 ohm
for that truck I would suggest either a sub up port up configuration or subs forward port up configuration. approx 4.5-5 cuft for the pair of subs ------------- 2009 0-1000 Trunk WR 154.0DB 2009 1001+ Trunk WR
