I am having some trouble removing the top dash of a 1999 Calvalier. I am stuck on the airbag area. I can see that the clips are holding it very tight, but no way of lifting the dash up without ripping it. All screws are out and only thing holding it is the clips around the air bag. I was thinking about open up the airbag cover panal to get to the clips, but I was afraid once I open up the airbag panal and break a few clips I won't be able to put the cover back. Anyways, I had to get someone to hold on to the dash while I remove the only trim screw remaining on the inside. I manage to remove the stereo out, but it would have been a much easier job if I got the top dash out in the first place. If anyone has run into this similar problem please let me know. Thanks.

I've done everything like the way it was shown on the web link that you gave me Jeff, but it's not very specific as to how they got the dash out with all the clips that is attach around the airbag area.

If I remember correctly you have to pull towards you and then up. Make sure you have gotten all the screws in the upper dash area by the vent.

Thanks Jeff, I will try that the next time when I get the similar car.
