Specifically, the power/speaker connector on a DEH-P880PRS. I'd like to de-pin the speaker outputs, but for the life of me, I can't figure out where the secret tab is to release the connector pins without damage. Anyone have a suggestion? Preferably with pictures?

Thanks

I am not familiar with the plug on that particular unit, but if you post a few close-up pictures maybe I can help.

you need a really thin blade flat head screwdriver, like a jewerlers screwdriver. looking at the face of the connector there is a tab that is up in the terminal holding into place. you need to take the flat head and pull down on the tab, while the tab is down pull on the wire to pull the terminal out. if you feel some resistance push the terminal back in as far as it will go and try pushing down on the tab again.

sorry no pics.
