Hi I'm setting up a system in my boat that consists of the JL Marine products in cookpit (2 front, 2 rear) and Kicker 10" L5 sub. My initial thought was to run the components on a 4 channel amp and the subs on a class d mono block. Something like the Audison 4.300 and a Kenwood KAC-X10d. The only reason I was thinking digital for the subs was for efficiency, to maintain battery as long as possible. The other thought was to use an Audison 5.600 5 channel for the whole system. What method would be more efficient? would adding a second amp, even though D class be more of a draw then using 1 amp with 5 channels?
Thanks

5 channel is probally better way to go . Its less power but will still make the system sound good, and less current pull from just one amp. I'd go that way.

I would go the 5 channel class D ICEpower Eclipse XA5000 for this application. www.eclipse-web.com
