connecting 12v fans for cooling

Hope i have the right forum for this question, i have a pc installed in my car with a touchscreen for all my ICE requirements, i wish to install additional 12 volt computer fans for extra cooling, what is the best way to connect them as my PSU is limited in the amount of power it can provide i wish to do this from the battery.

would this setup work.

Yes, that would work.  Just make sure pin 87 is hooked to a source that is capable of delivering enough current to run the fans.  Also make sure to include the fuses!

For multiple fans is one relay ok or should i use 1 per fan i think they only use about 5 watts so i was assuming 1 relay.

I have the +12v wire going to pin 87 fused should i also fuse the wire to the fans pin 30.

Look at the diagram.  Each accessory (fan) is fused directly before that accessory (S-curve symbol).  Which means that every fan has a fuse.  Half amp or 1 amp fuses should be fine but read the specs re power consumption.  With every accessory individually fused, the wire leading from pin 30 does not get fused. 

One Bosch 30 amp relay will handle a lot of fans.

thanks for the help i cant believed i missed that have to look closer at the diagrams in future.

ive set it all up and it worke great but when the car runs the voltage raises to nearly 14 volts, is this a problem and what would be a good way to regulate the power at 12 volts

I think it would be ok at 14 volts.

You could pick a some 7812 from Radioshack and use that to regulate the voltage down to 12vdc if you are concerned about it.
