Is this possible? I have a RF punch 800.2. I want to hook it up to a 15" 2ohm DVC sub. How do I do this?

One channel to one coil and the other channel to the other coil.    2 Ohms per channel.  The amp will make max power.

Oh, I thought that would make it a 4 ohm connection.

Now someone else is telling me this will not work. Could someone tell how and why?

It will work. Each output channel on -most- 2channel amps can support down to a 2ohm load. Wiring one coil to each output channel will yield full power from your amp.

Another way of wiring the dual 2ohm sub to the amp would be like this;

https://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=1&I=22 -Option #2, 4ohm load. You would wire the sub like option #2 to the bridged output channels on your amp.
