Do you guys also have problems with your headunits sometimes not ejecting your discs?
I've had this problem with my old KDC-2020 and now again with my KDC-X889. It's more pronounced when the interior of the car is rather cold. It's as if the felt that lines the slot, prevents the disc from pushing beyond it and the radio then re-inserts the disc.
I thought the upgrade from entry-level to top-of-the-range would eliminate the problem, but it seems I was wrong...

It can happen with any manufacturer's player, especially if they use cheap rubber on the rollers. It's got nothing to do with the felt, but as the rubber ages, it will become less and less "grippy", and won't have the necessary traction to push the disc past or through the mechanicals.
It's a common issue. I have only seen 3 head units where it wouldn't EVER happen. Eclipse, Alpine, and Clarion units all seem to have the rollers down to a science.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
make sure you eject the disc from the unit, then take a long swap or q-tip.. dip it in Rubber Renue (or equivalent Rubber rejuvinator compound) and slide it thru the disc opening until it makes contact with the disc roller... then press eject and slide the swap back and forth across the disc roller... do this a couple of times and you'll be good for another 3-6 months....
