hey fellow installers, I purchased an Alpine IVA-D310 i was able to connect it to my 05 nissan altima however I have no sound when I turned it on, it plays dvds and tunes the radio, it doesn't matter what source I use.  I tried looking for my factory amp as well, but I can't find it anywhere.  The schematics on the site say its under the rear deck, I took off my back seat followed the wires from the 6x9 in the back and I couldn't  find it still.  I think somewere in my install, I messed up as well by not connecting one of the wires in the harness.  Please don't bash on me on my install, im an amateur.

If anyone can help me out I would gladly appreciate it

-one wire that I didnt connect was the pink wire, which is for the audio interupt, I have no idea where it goes or what it's for, the harness didn't have a place for it so I left it alone, could anyone tell me where it goes???

-the antena power wire from the brain I connected it to the harness. Then I connected the remote turn on to the tr7 (the little box so the screen stays on while in drive) green wire just as the intructions said. Im not sure if I mixed them up???? or if their fine

-also if anyone has the knowledge of where my factory amp is, like under glove box it would be great that way I dont have to rip my car apart anymore. Under rear deck is not familiar phrase of a location in my car.

-one more thing the factory harness thats attached to the car has one wire thats not being used by the adapter harness I bought.  The wire is red with a yellow line or yellow dots I cant remember, could that be the remote turn on for the factory amp???

you could reconnect factory radio and test the wires in the harness. Test for a remote out when you turn on the radio. Is the unit new or was it used?
If you have to bypass factory amp it wouldn't be a bad idea just to rewire each speaker directly to the radio instead of running it through factory amp which would be double amplification. That's just my opinion.

you connected an amp turn on wire so you can weave in and out of your lane because you are focused on teenage mutant ninja turtles and not the road? It sounds like you have a factory amp that is not being powered up. The audio inturupt wire is probably a mute wire for a phone hook up.

as Sarcomax stated above, I too think you did not connect the turn on wire for your factory amp.   The interrupt wire is just as he said, a telephone interrupt.  If you ground that wire it will mute the audio, when it is grounded the display reads Interrupt.
