I've got a BostonAcoustics G5 (dual 4). It's got sureset. I want to power each coil with it's own 2channel, bridged.
Does anyone know which terminals (for the fuses) are the +'s, and which are the -'s? I will be using blade terminals to get the connection. I will be using a 7.5a fuse on each speaker + lead.
Thanks

Here is how I think it is setup.PLEASE correct me if i'm wrong. I will be doing this within the week, after I build my new box and get another (identical) amp.

If I had to guess, I'd say you were on the right track with your diagram, but to be sure, just remove the fuses, and poke your meter leads down in there, you'll only get two readings - open and continuity. The continuity will be your voice coils. Once you determine your coils, a simple battery pop will tell you how to maintain polarity.
I wouldn't recommend doing that, though... I'm thinking Boston will not honor any warranty claims if you do! Of course, you could ALWAYS put an external 7.5A fuse in-line, I guess. Still don't know if it'll be warrantable.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
Sweet. I didn't even think about that! People, what would we do without Haemphyst, besides drive around clipping and distorting?! Lol
I will be using a 7.5a fuse on each speaker + lead, just to be safe. One thing I like about these subs is the SoftPartSystem (you can replace the cone, coil, and spider assem's all in one, you can even change it around from the single to dual 4ohm versions like this). I'd rather pay $150 for it then $350 for a new sub!
Thanks, Dude.
