ok, i have a kicker kx400.1 mono amp(2 ohm stable) hooked to 1 jl audio 10w6v2 d4, i have the woofer hooked up at 2 ohms going into the amp but it plays for about 15 minutes and blows the fuse. However when i hook it up in series it doesnt blow fuses.  i have checked the ground and all power and that doesnt seem to be the problem. so if someone can tell me what i am doing wrong. thanx matthew

When you are running it at 2Ohms the amp is making it's maximum possible amount of power.  When it is at 8Ohms it is making about 1/4 of it's possible power.  Thus not pulling near the current as it does at 2Ohms.  At 70% efficiency at 13.8 volts in, it will take 41.4 amps of current to produce the 400 rated watts.  Their amps will always do more than rated.
