Look for some 6 1/2 component speakers. What are some good quality component speakers with the emphasis on sound quality?

Let your ears.....AND your pocket book decide for you. You are the one that will be listening to them for the next 5 to 10 years.

The rest is opinion....and doesn't really matter.

I normally tell people to try to stick with names you are familiar with by experience. I am a fan of MB Quart, Infinity Kappa, And Pioneer. It all depends on what you can afford but don't buy something that sounds too good to be true. For example 400w components for $40.00/pair by off brands. Use your noggin and plan your setup with all the wattage demands and amplifier power you will need to properly run the components with passive crossovers or active crossover. Do some research and you'll set yourself up a good sounding system that won't break the bank.
