This question is to anyone that has replaced the front speakers in a 86 Mustang Lx Convertable.

A customer came in wanting the front 3 speakers (3.5s and a 3.25)..

Anyway theres no grill to these speakers, the grill is built into the dash,

How does the dash come out?

hi,

there should be screws, 3 or 4, in the defroster vents (near the base of the windshield)..remove them. remove the dash bezel... 3 screws along the upper edge vertical. next remove the 2 screws that were hidden behind the bezel, and the three screws on the passenger side above the trim panel that is above the glovebox. the dash board top panel should remove now (pull towards the rear of the vehicle)
