I'm just curious as to what effect RCA output voltage have on a sound system?

been browsing the net and these forums, and have seen ppl say there hu has 8v outputs, i know mine has 4v outputs and i didn't even no there were other output voltages

so it'd be great to no what the dif is.

thanks

Higher output voltage is good because it's harder for noise to enter the signal path between the head unit and the amplifier, another advantage would be that you can have the gain on the amplifier lower so it does not have to over amplify an already possibly distorted signal coming from lower voltage inputs.
