Hi, I am in need of passing a 0 gauge amp wire thru my 2005 Altima 2.5s, is there a rubber grommet that I can use? What would be the best way for this? Any feedback appreciated. Thanks in advance. ------------- trancelovin

There isn't a rubber grommet big enough, but if your car is an auto. There is a cut out you can use where the clutch pedal would located on the firewall. Look for a cut out in the insulation, kinda looks like a rounded out flattened diamond. Its perferated already, so it will just rip right out. Then just drill out yourself a hole, it will be safe to drill since there is nothing behind it in the engine compartment.

well i did my friends altima 05 last month. When you open the hood to your left (passenger side) there will be a large rubber grommet where the wires run though the firewall. I had some trouble getting it in. What you should do first is. go under the dash on passenger side. it will be far up. you can feel a rubber piece. use a knife and cut a small hole. run a coat hanger through and connect your 0 gauge. pull slowly and you should be through. just spray some wd40 on the grommet so when u pull it through it would be very easy.

hey,
I'd just do it the same as any other firewall cable, find a safe spot to drill a hole, put in the rubber gromit(yeh they do come that big)and push your wire through.
Good luck
