Hi, I just installed JVC KD-NX 5000 and my FM band has too much static.  I installed the OEM back and the static stops.  What can I do to have better signal to my new head unit? My OEM antenna has a small wire that runs with it, I'm guessing its the ground, should that already be already grounded?

I am not sure about the 05, but some of the hewer nissan's have an antenna amplifier that has to be powered.  If there is a power antenna wire on the harness, you need to connect the power antenna or remote wire from your radio to this wire.

If there is a power antenna wire on the main harness of the car, you need to connect it to the power antenna or remote wire of your deck.
