There may be a easy solution for this but I havent found it yet. I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 with an aftermarket radio/DVD and the radio reception sux. There is no AM at all and so therefore I cannot listen to Rush. It's a far left plot I tell you. Are other Chryslers this year group having the same problem? Install an external antenna?

Really not sure about your vehicle, but a lot of the newer cars have an amplified antenna that has to be powered.  Check and see if the power antenna wire from the harness is connected to the power antenna or the remote wire of your deck.

The same issue on some VW and Audi have amplified antennas that need to be powered. Check the harness behind radio for a power antenna wire or amp remote wire.
