i was looking at one of these forums and i saw some of y'all discussing file formats of the music you listen to.

i remember discussion about how there is better than mp3.  i've been searching around these forums and found not much.  i was just wondering if you guys used different formats or what.  is there even a noticeable difference in sound quality?  i just was curious...thanks alot

Yes, there is absolutely a difference in sound quality. Drawback to it is, though, you must have the playback capability for the best quality formats...

wav (true CD quality)
flac/ogg (lossless)
aac (lossy)
m4a (lossy or lossless)(apple)
mp3 (lossy)

These are the order of the best ones I've found. Of course the higher bitrates will sound better in all of the lossy formats, so keep this in mind as well!

(One question, though... why were you looking?)

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

No... Your sig used to say you found a vegetable particulate in excrement, and I was wondering why you were looking.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
