Just like the subject said, what is Q value, and why is that important. Also to break it down futher, what's the difference between the Electrical Q value and the Mechanical Q value, and how do companies come up with a total Q value? I figure these are numbers that mean something to someone, and I'd like to know what they mean haha! Thanks!

Q (or Qts) is a mathematical relationship between Qes (electrical Q) and Qms (mechanical Q). They are all essentially "unitless".

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
