Can you use a 800 watt 1 channel amp 2 power 2 subs or will it not work,
what i did was run 2 speaker wires from the + and 2 from the -, and one to each of the sub terminals,
Now, the subs are alpine type e's, i turned the car on, comes on, the subs move like u ca feel them with ur hand working but it dosnt go loud,then it just gpoes on off on off on off. i dont think think his amp is the right for this setup

you have have a 100 watt amp power 10000 subs if you wanted as long as the load is in the amplifiers operating range.
Amplifiers do not "see" how many subs are wired to them...just the impedance load is all amps see
what amp??
what impedance subs???
how are they wired??
how is your amp grounded???

List the model # of your amp. List the model #'s of your 2 subs. List the size of power/ground wire going to/from the amp. List the HU (stereo) model #. List your vehicle make, model, and year. This is a VERY generic question and we need info, mostly the impedance (in ohms) and number of voice coils on each sub and the lowest load (in ohms) that your sub amp can tolerate, in order to give you answers. -Oops, I posted this and then noticed where aznboi requested this info! ------------- 2013 Kia Rio -90a alternator

The Subs are 10 Alpine Type E i believe model SWE-1042, the amp is a Pioneer GM-7100M
Head unit is stock, with a metra line output converter, car is a 2007 Scion TC
Wiring is a Tsunami 4 gauge kit,
How i wired the subs first was i got 4 pieces of speaker wire, put spade terminals on 4 wires on one end, then put 2 wires to the posiive and 2 to the negative, then ran one posiive from he amp terminal to the positive one one sub, and the oher posiive wire to he oher sub, and the same for the negaive...
THEN i had a postive from he amp to the posiive on one sub and then a wire from he negaive of that sub to he posiive on the oher sub, and the negaive of that sub back to the negaive of the amp
Again, the system works, but it will either go on and off back and fourh or itll play really really low, like a barley noticable difference in loudness in beat over stock

only wire the subs in parallel.
the first way you wired it...do not wire it again like you did the second time.
positive from the amp to the positive to the subs...same for the negative.
thats it...then it should work fine...remember to correct set your gain and dont crank up the boost
