Whats the biggest amp I could run in a 98 Expedition with the stock alt?

Probably around 300 to 400 watts, and that's likely gonna be pushing it, still. Manufacturers RARELY offer much more than is absolutely necessary to run the car itself, without stressing components.

ANYTIME you add a high current accessory like an amplifier, you should probably upgrade your alternator.
