Hi all,

Have just imported a Chrysler Town Country from the US. The car works fine but the orginal radio was dead on delivery. I found a used one on E-bay but i can´t get any sound out of the speakers (cd, radio and casette is working)... Can somone please give me some advise what to check? The new radio is working (i used a speaker outside the car and there was sound).  Is there any amplifier anywhere?

Town Country 2001 limited. Infinity speakers. RBB casette player with 4CD changer.

Thanks // Kalle Sweden

yeah i believe there is an amp you might have to bypass if you have the premium sound system in the particular vehicle. if the amp doesnt turn on, you wont get no sound. im not sure exactly what your factory amp turn on wire is, but when i get to work in about 2 hours i will log on and let you know.

Ok, But where is the amp? I have looked at the speakers and it seens there is some kind of black box next to the magnet. Is that the amp?

Amp turn on wire is the dark green wire at the end of the black plug.

You have a grey plug and a black plug on the back your radio. At the end of the black plug there should be a dark green wire. Hook this up to ignition switched 12 volts. If there is a second ground besides the braided one this needs to be grounded too.
