Hi, I'm pretty new to this and think I already ordered the wrong sub and will be returning it shortly, a MOFO 12. I had even less of a clue at the time.

99 Dodge Dakota ex cab
Premier 980BT
Diamond Audio S600S
JL Audio 450/4
Crunch GP2500P
Infinity Kappa 652.7i
3.0 Farad Cap
Optima red top

The only listening experience I have is from the store show room in which the Focal 33v1 and JL 12w6's were all they had. The Focals were in a box and sounded the best but they would wash out with double bass pedals, hip hop was awesome on them though. I listen to about 75% hip hop and the rest is a mix of metal and other stuff. So I want things crisp but want to hit low freqs... hard!

I'm looking at the Oz Audio Me12.4, Focal 33v1, JL 12w6, Diamond Audio D612. My amp can do 625/1250/2500 but I don't want to drown anything out.

Luckily I have not installed anything yet, only the 980BT which kicks butt btw. I've even thought about returning the S600S and getting the OZ ME180CS since it's only $20 more.

Have any opinions or other suggestions?
The rest of my setup headed in the right direction?

Thanks
Isk

I plan to use the Crunch gp2500d it can do 4/2/1 @ 625/1250/2500. I went with this amp for the sub because i know it will fit under my seat plus it is made by the people who make Hifonics.

The JL W6 is one of the most versatile woofers I've heard. Although you have great woofer choices your amp selection is questionable. i LOVE the 450/4, why not go with a JL amp for your woofer as well? (500/1?)

The Diamond D6 is a great choice as well. Cheaper than the W6 and has great output/sq

Well the 500/1 is more dough... I can't remember if it will fit, that is my limiting factor. Is the Crunch a bad choice? Seemed okay when I looked at the specs.

How do you think the OZ stacks up to the JL in terms of clean low freqs?

Okay, so the store I bought my equipment is going to find out if they can get the OZ ME12 if they can't my next choice will be the Diamond D6. They are also going to find out about the 700.1 amp from OZ, The guys at OZ told me I was better off with the JL 500/1 even though it's less powerfull then the Crunch.

Going to swap the S600's for the 180CS as well. I feel that the whole system should be pretty solid now.
