Ford f 150 02 super crew , installed h.i.d lights and two relays . when light  switch is turnd on causes radio staions to fuzz, turn of lights and it goes away. i put factory bulbs back in and disconnected ballst and works great . why is the h.i.d light system causing this distortion and what to do? note the dvd /cd/and nav works fine with h.i.d. just the radio fuzzes

Is the ballast mounted near your antenna?

I've found that all HID kits mounted near the antenna causes interference with the radio. All HID kits installed on vehicles with the antenna mounted in the rear of the vehicle or even on the front of the roof are not affected by the HID ballasts.

No the ballast is not near the antenna . i actually shut off the passenger ballast which is under the rebar. antenna is  on the fender .even then it still makes this fuzz sounds like snow when the light is on h.i.d also vise -versa . i was wandering if a 12vlt stabalizer cap would fix the prob . since the ballast take time to fully charge ? are is it just the frequency from the ballast that the radio stations are picking up?only 4 radio stions fuzz out but hardcre though, unfortunately those for stations ar his favorite stations .What if i try a differnt antenna like a hidden antenna? the deck is a kenwood dual den with nav /dvd /and ps2 is also hooked ..p.s i even taped up the ballast with electrical tape .

Electrical tape is going to do nothing to remedy this problem.  I have never seen an HID ballast before but if you can answer a few questions we might be able to get it resolved.  Is the ballast case insulated from the from the chassis of the vehicle?  Insulated = grommets through mounting holes so the frame of ballast is not touching vehicle.   How hot does the ballast get after extended use?  Do the installation instructions say not to ground the case of the ballast?

You can try the cap if you already have one.  The problem is that the switching power supply inside the ballast is generating RFI Radio Frequency Interference.
