I have two kicker L5 12s and a kicker kx400.2 amp.  Would it be alright

to wire the subs in parallel and then bridge the amp? Thanks for your help.

you need to know what impdance the voice coils of the sub are and the load the amp is capable of driving into a mono load. once you tell us that we can help you, but in general here is how it works if you wire a dual voice coil sub in paralel you will divide the impedance by 2 so if you have a dual 4 ohm woofer then the resistance on the amp is 2 ohms if it was wired mono then you will need an amp capable of drivivg a 2 ohm mono load. If you have a dual 8 ohm woofer you have a 4 ohm mono load and if you wire a dual 2 ohm sub in series then you get a 4 ohm load. post back the specs then i can answer better.

Thanks for the response. The subs are dual voice coil 4 ohm- 2 ohm parallel and 8 ohm series.  The amp is capable of operating into a minimum inpedance of 4 ohms bridged(mono) and a minimum inpedance of 2 ohms in stereo.  Hope this helps.
