I wonder who copied this from who (Alpine and Tymphany), they look the same except that the Alpines are enclosed.

Is Tymphany well-known?

Tymphany is one of the world's largest loudspeaker manufacturers. They produce drivers under brands like Scan Speak, Vifa, and Peerless and they produce drivers for hundreds of OEM brands. Many of the world's mainstream well-known brands (both car and home speakers) use drivers manufactured by Tymphany. They invented the LAT transducer about three years ago and Alpine was the first to integrate it into a commercially available system.
