are there any 1 ohm stable mono block amps on the market for that price with TRUE watts?? None of those... Not one of them. You pulled from the bottom of the flea-market crap-barrel when you compiled that list, didn't you?
Why does everybody believe that they have to load an amp like that? Look into the Alpine PDX 1.1000. 1kW into 2 or 4 ohms, YES 4 OHMS(!), real power. No, it WON'T do one ohm, but if you are going to ask that question again, you're not listening to me... $700 retail, but I bet you can find it for a bit less, if you're friendly with your local Alpine dealer. Awesome power, and very good sound quality, as well...
You have to spend good money to get good power, there is no way around that...

I just bught a 1.1000 for $450, it's not installed yet but I feel it will be solid based on hearing them before and some research. ------------- 99' Dakota ex cab

thanks, haemphyst , i'll go to the corner now  , I'm not a big fan of flea-market crap either, however I had three MA audio 4ohm SVC 12" in a sealed box powered by a Pyle 4000 1 ohm stable amp and everthing else factory(deck,alt,battery) and hit a 140.9 @ a local sound off. Anything you wanted, as long as the RMS power handling is greater than 1000 watts total, and the impedance lands between 2 and 4 ohms!

JL AUDIO 500/1...By far the best amp i ever owned..other than the 1000/1.....if you have the space one 12w6v2 in a h.o. box with the 500/1 is phenomenal!!!...

i have 2 L7 12's and i am powering them with an eclipse DA7232 and i dont have any complants at all! but be careful though because the L7's come in differnt ohm loads.

i came up with a list of possible suspects ove r the weekend::Orion HCCA-2400,,,Earthquake PHd-5000 and PHd2000,,,OZ audio VA 2000.1,,,Diamond Audio D31000.1,,,Massive Audio 3000.1,,,Zapco C2K9.OX,,,Kicker ZX1500.1,,,Kole Audio KX1 series,,,Power Acoustic OV1 series and PS1,,,SPL FX1 and DK series,,,and finnaly this one I never heard of Performance Teknique i think it said 5000W out of all these could anybody rate them from # 1 best to #11 worst

i for got to mention that i'm really not so sure about the L7's with the car being brand new if i upgrade the alt. it might violate my warranty on the elec ystem I do plan on upgrade the big three(read the sticky from the begining) and an optima red top, just not sure bout subs yet,theres alot to choose from

Not gonna happen on the budget your looking at. Most very very loud daily drivers are in the high 130's to low 140's

jeez, someone mentioned a zapco 9.0...I thought his budget was 1100 total!!!! wow. here is a different option.... 2 Interfire A1000.1 (or last yeas model IFD1000C), strap em, & run em to 2 of last years XS15D1's (easily found on ebay) I did this setup in a lincoln , added a second battery & it would pull 152+usaci, & street beat 149's Maybe take a look at usaci forum (soundoff.org) & look at their used stuff. there is usually some DD stuff on there for KILLER prices....LOL anything that turns out to be a cheater amp usually gets sold for less than dealer cost. Also, I just looked at ebay & found the MTX 9500 15's for $365!!!!! if you are not doing SPL comps, they are the last sub you will ever buy.....I miss mine LOL dealer cost on those for me was $450each....LOL in the wall in my rex I could only get the mtx's up to a 151.....swapped for the Powerbass XS's & immed went to a 53.5, & at 04 WF did both runs at 155.8 (oh yeah, that was with 4 interfire IFD1000C's) On a side note, stay away from the Powerbass 3000D, it is power hungery, & don't make power until you give it 17+ volts (lotsa power there though), & if is sees 10.9, it smokes.....f in things ------------- used to be loud, used to be fast...now I am married LOL

would I have to upgrade the Alt to power a MTX TA 92001, with the big three upgrade using 2ga. or 4ga. ?? would a cap be necessary i've read on here before that they were a waste and dont really do much and thanks for all the input!!! you guys rock
