Hey all, my friend and I recently have been dedicating a lot of time to wiring my system up. It's pretty much all done now, but we're having this strange problem that I would like to know if anyone else has had before I start the tedious process of troubleshooting.

At about 65% max volume, turning it up via the deck, the power just cuts off and the deck + both amps shut off, then restart at the default volume level. Every time I try to turn it up it cuts off, and it even cuts off when both my amps are off.

Has anyone else heard of this problem? I can give more detailed information if required, but for now I'm going to start to troubleshoot.

Alpine deck?    Are there any speakers connected to the deck?

Yes, it's an alpine deck, and no, the 4 speakers are all connected to a 4 channel amp.

What is happening to your system voltage when it cuts off?

Is it one of the Alpine decks that suggest you run a wire to the Battery for the constant 12v connection?
