The other day I was looking for the radio wiring colors for a 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL with a Becker radio. After using most of the resources on hand I could not get the wiring so I wrote down the wire colors. Hopefully someone else will be able to easily find this if it is ever needed.
Constant = RED / White
Switch = BLACK/ White
Ground* = Black and/or Brown
Antenna Power = Blue
Illumination = Gray/Purple [NOTE: there are actually two of these wires]
Left Speakers
+ = RED / Black
- = Black
Right Speakers
+ = GREEN/ Black
- = Black
*There were two ground wires. The black wire seemed to be a second ground, or ground for something else. The ground for the radio was the Brown wire.
From what I remember the car's stereo was in stereo, that is there was only left and right, no front or rear connections. Again I am going from memory but the speaker locations were on the front dash, under the windshield, the rear deck, and I believe there was another pair, however I can be confusing two cars.
I don;t consider this information 100% accurate so please double check these wires. If anyone can make or knows of corrections/suggestions, please comment so I can edit, or edit yourself this information
