I have a new 08 scion xB that i wil lbe installed an overhead dvd monitor.

The car came with side curtain airbags. So how should i run the a/v RCA cables from the roof to the headunit?

I wonder if i run the RCA's down the side pillar will it interfere with the curtin airbag system?

Just make sure you go OVER the bags.... if not, should the bad deploy, it will whip the crapola out of you...

Yes but if there is a RCA cable drapped across where the bag would deploy wouldnt that interfer with it working in an accident?

I figured since alot of newer cars have curtain airbags and people still use overheads someone would be able to explain the best way to safely do the wiring...

He means to go OVER THE TOP of the airbag, like between the airbag and the roof. If you are careful to secure your RCA's to the roof, between the airbag module and the sheetmetal, you won't have any kinds of issues.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
