I searched for "ip-bus" in our forums and didnt find anything like this so I thought I'd post what I found. Here's a site that will allow you to interface into Pioneer's IP-Bus system both on the cable side and on the head unit side. It gives all the info need and pictures. Enjoy!

When I did my plug, I soldered the wires together from an old Phoenix Gold y-adapter (2f to 1m) and protected all the solder joints with heat shrink. I used my soldering iron on low heat too so that I didnt melt the insulation of the wires. When dissecting the IP-Bus cable, I found a stray grey wire, a stray orange wire, and then a blue-sleeved, grey-sleeved, and black-sleeved bundle of wires. Using my DMM, here's what I found:
Grey-Sleeved Bundle
Yellow wire = right positive, pin#9
Brown wire = right negative, pin#10
Copper shielding = pin# 6
Blue-Sleeved Bundle
Blue wire = left positive, pin#7
Black wire = left negative, pin#11
Copper shielding = pin#2 (not pin#3 like the image suggests)
Black-Sleeved Bundle
Red wire = BUS+, pin#1
White wire = BUS-, pin#5
Copper shielding = pin#3 (not pin#2 like the image suggests)
The stray grey wire goes to pin#4 and the stray orange wire goes to pin#8. I don’t know what either of these are for just yet.
Just an update: I just came in from testing my new cable and it works great.
