I would like to know how to stop the rattling on the molding of my car. It is the worst sound I have ever heard. I had my trunk lid and side walls lined with sound dampener but it is my trim banging against the car that is making the noise; it’s just metal to metal rattle. Is their a way I could stop this without permanently removing the trim?

Thanks guys. I will try both of those suggestions. I am thinking about lining the inside of the molding with a foam tape and using a marine grade clear silicone as like a gasket sealer. If I can get the silicone in a nice bead (like caulking a window) I hope it will clean up easy. You have been a great help.
