Hello everyone!

I´m currently building a system on my 1990 Nissan 300ZX. I´m planning on building a low budget, nice sounding system. Not going for competition level or extremely high volume.

These are the are the items I have purchased so far:
Speakers: Polk Audio DB6500 components. 4 ohm, 100W RMS.
Subwoofer: MTX Audio RT10A single 10" sealed enclosure subwoofer . 4 ohm, 200W RMS.

The head unit will probably be a Pioneer DEH-P6900UB. This unit has a rear USB port that will allow me to play all my music from a removable hard drive stashed in my glovebox.

I´m am looking for a 4 channel amp that can pump out 200W RMS (bridged) to the rear channels to power my sub. I would like to get a solid amp with a relatively clean output that can handle the 4 volt input signal from the HU.

What amplifier would you suggest I get? My current budget for the amp is $150.

Thanks for your help!

Pablo.

Nothing good for that kind of scratch.

The Eclipse 4 channel EA amplifiers are decent, but I don't believe they are that cheap. Then you could look for the XA series, or even the Alpine PDX amps, but those are DEFINITELY more money.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Can inexpensive amplifiers be THAT bad?

I mean, I ´m not planning on getting Pyle, DHD, Pyramid or crap like that. What do you guys think of the following options?

MTX Audio TC4004

Panasonic CY-PA4003U

Pioneer GM-6300F

Wow nobody reads the rules ever. Save your money, and get higher quality amps. They will last longer, sound better and you will appreciate it better. Some of haemphyst amp reccomendations would be great. Oh yeah buy from a authorized dealer, don't get done in by ebay.

Look at the Interfire A900.4 (old Model # was IFB4900C) IF you are lucky you can find one for around $200. Buy from an Authorized Dealer if at all possible.

if your looking for a quality amp but not trying to beak bank, check out the infinity ref7541a. 111w rms to each channel at 4ohms. can bridge the rear channel to around 250w rms. the best part is is that it was replaced by a smaller less efficient model so you can pick it up for around 150. be prepared for its large size though
