I've been commissioned to do an install on a 72 Chevy Pickup thats completly original. I've also been given strict instructions...NO CUTTING/DRILLING...I love a challenge.

The other issue? Must be done by Xmas...Dang!

So, I've found these headunits online and they can gaurantee that if I order by the end of the week I can have it a week before Xmas...plenty of time.

But, have anyone here used these before? They seem to have Kenwood internals which impresses me.

Thoughts and oopinions or directions to other companies appreciated

We 've used the Custom Autosound stuff before , works okay, fit well, preformance leaves a little .....

Take a look at the Kenwood Car Portal, better performance and more options, and more $$

I did a quick search for it but I couldn't find anything on Kenwood Car Portal

I had a customer bring me one for his 68 Camaro. I had a less than savory experience with the unit. The tuner needle got stuck on one side of the display. Fortunately, the customer had to deal with the company, not me. The turn around time was very slow.

I too was unhappy with the performance, partiularly the aux in deal and lack of rca outputs. But I will say that it was a pretty decent looking unit once installed.
