hello i am looking for information on wiring up a six speaker installation on my harley davidson street glide. i have a set of jl audio vr 51/4 up front in the fairing and a set of 6x9 vr jl audios in the saddlebags along with a set of boston acoustics 6.5 pro series in the saddle bags. i am looking to wire the speakers in the saddle bags in series and wire up the speakers up front standard is this possible using the pdx 4.150 and if so do i need to run a cap with the system since the harley davidson charging system is really weak compared to other japanese motorcycle systems.

Yes you can wire the speakers in series on that amplifier.  Save the weight of the capacitor, that is all it will be, added weight.  However wiring the speakers in series will tend to make them not as loud as possible, and we all know that along with the charging system not being as efficient as a Jap bike, neither is the exhaust system.

could they be run in parallel and not add to much stress to the amp and charging on the bike.

The amp is more than capable of running them in parallel, however this will increase the current draw of the amp.  Try them in series, they may be loud enough for you.  If not then try paralleling them and you will have to make the call as to whether the charging system can handle it.

It might have been a bust, but it was a BIG bust.  That thing was huge.  I have owned a 1500 Wing.  I could only imagine the torque of that motor with a couple hundred pounds off of the weight.

I have a 2000 valkyrie interstate two tone with one of those better idea integrated under the seat better ideas i just finished installing some speaker up front in the fairing jl audio xr 4" and a pair of jl audio xr 5x7" in the saddlebags I installed a alpine pdx 4.150 and an audio control line output converter. that was a terrible amount of work being there were no rca outputs on the factory stereo. i also installed an ipod alot of work.
