I've installed an aftermarket (Daytona) speedo and tach on my Kawasaki W650. Both work well, but when I turn on the directional signal the tach needle jumps slightly and the LCD screen on the speedo flickers. Any ideas on the cause and solution?

Try installing a diode across the power and ground of the new components.  The banded end of the diode connects to the positive wire.  The non-banded end connects to ground.  Any 1 amp diode will work.   1N4001 through 1N4007

Chances are the blinker relays are causing this problem.  If the diode helps but does not completely eliminate the problem, you may have to locate the relays and install a diode directly to them.

Any other ideas? The diode has no effect.

Thanks for the suggestion though.
