Hello ! I have a 2004 Vulcan 1600 Classic that I am attempting to put  two chrome 12v horns on. I want to use existing horn switch. Factory horn has 2 wires going to it 1 wich has 12 v when switch is turned on that goes to fuse box other wire goes to horn switch. From horn switch I have a wire wich goes to the front regulator { looks like in diagram } When I hook up one of the new horns to existing setup it will make a faint sound { factory horn does great} . I Have attempted to add the relay wich instructions have #85 from horn switch being grounded #30 to battery jumped to #86 #87 to horn then grounding 2nd horn terminal. This does not work and I don't want to blow up anything! Can someone please give me a suggestion on what to attempt !! Thank You !!!

remove the wire you have connected to 85.  Apply ground to 85, do the new horns blow?
