I have a turn signal warning buzzer but I want it to be silent when sitting at lights with the brakes on.What would I need to do to acheive this?

Your brake light switch will most likely have a +12v and a gnd wire. Find the wire on the switch that is +12v when the brakes are OFF and connect this wire as a 12v supply for your buzzer. Then, when the brake switch is ON, this connection will be connected to the gnd by the brake switch and the buzzer will not be powered. Front and rear brake switches should be wired in parallel on most all bikes. You can connect the gnd side of the buzzer as the switched side for your turns.

Some bikes may have isolated front / rear switches. In order to have it work with both front and rear brake, you should get the positive wire at the brake lamp. Connect a relay as follows. Ground terminal 85 of the relay. Connect the positive brake lamp wire to terminal 86. Cut the power wire that powers the buzzer. Connect one of the newly cut ends to terminal 30, then connect the other newly cut end to terminal 87A. Insulate terminal 87 so it can not come into contact with ground.

When the brake lever / pedal is depressed, the coil of the relay will energize and interrupt power getting to the buzzer.
