Love them or Loathe them I have decided to install a Clifford GP1000T Alarm and Immoboliser to my bike.

It's not installed yet but I have hit upon a potential problem with the indicator wire. There are 3 wire in total coming from the alarm unit. 1 to LH indicator, 1 to RH Indicator and 1 to 12V+

This is what the text from the installation manual says:

NOTE: A diode may need to be inserted in the motorcycle indicator relay supply if the
indicator circuit can feed back to the ignition on the bike. To test if a diode is required,
activate one of the direction indicators, turn ignition off and then arm the alarm. If the
alarm triggers the indicators are supplying 12 volts to the alarm ignition wire.

Now the problem I have is that the indicator circuit does look like it feeds back to the ignition system through the Br Wire (+ wire at relay). Obviously Suzuki use a combined Indicator / Side stand relay but on the wiring diagram looks as if the Side Stand & Indicator Relay are seperate within the unit with the side stand section having a diode already installed.

Can anyone shed any light on the above? Do the Side Stand & Indicator relay share the diode or do I need to work out a way to attach a diode to the indicator side?

I can provide the wiring diagram if it helps??
