Hi Guys I have an MP3 trike with an additional air horn which goes off when I press the bikes horn button.
I would like to introduce a small delay in my air horn (143db) setup.
I have included a jpeg to show my current setup. As you can see from the existing headlamp relay, I have taken a grey wire to a new relay. This wire goes live only when the engine is running. From a new fuse box I am powering the new air horn. What I would like to do is delay the air horn going off for an adjustable 0-1.5 seconds, in this way the on board horn goes off when I press the button for a friendly meep meep, but when I need a BLATT by holding the button for about a second before the air horn kicks in. If possible be also able to flash the main head lamp as well. The screaming banshee (139db) air horn has such a unit, but this is about £50 plus import duty, if you can get one without the horn it self. The air horn draws about 20 Amps and the main beam is about 5 Amps. the 2 new relays have 40 Amp contacts.

Hi tsquirtz, I gave up in the end and bought a Screaming Banshee control unit instead. look on y-tube for it.
