Hi, I have a Suzuki GSX750 that has a failed CDI unit. I was looking at using an aftermarket CDI unit but I haven't had any luck getting one to work thus far.

So, this is a 4 cylinder bike with two ignition coils. It has a sensor down at the crank for an ignition timing signal, I have measured this and it works giving out a small AC voltage of up to 1v.

I am happy to work with electronics and I wire up bikes as part of my work but I just feel I am missing something here and I wonder if someone could possibly point me in the correct direction.

As far as I can see the main stay of the basic CDI units have one pick up connection, I need a double pick up connection so that it can send it's 1v AC to the unit.

Any help here is very much appreciated.

Thanks, Daniel.
