am having problems with the rem start feature of alarm. I belive there is an immobiliser built in but not sure how to bypass this feature. Any help would be much appriecieted.

You have a remote start on a motorcycle? that doesnt sound like a very good idea to me. did you bypass the clutch switch? i think the cluct has to be pulled in for the bike to start. if you did bypass this be careful not to remote start it if its in gear. if you did the bike could jerk forward and move the kick stand enough for the bike to fall over. i would suggest wiring up the neutral safety switch so that remote start wont start unless its in neutral. if the starter is intended for a car it should have an input that wont allow it so start if the hood is up. you should be able to use that for the neutral switch.

Don't know about the immobilizer, but it is safe to do a remote start on a bike. They actually have a light that goes on when the bike is in nuetral and you can make it so that the remote start does not activate unless the bike is in nuetral. What exactly is the bike doing or not doing?

-first of all, how far have you gotten on it? does it crank?
-i didnt know that you have to squeeze the cluth lever to start the bike.
-my buddy whom have 01 r6 doesnt need to squeeze the clutch to start. all you do is press the button and it cranks. and if its in gear, i dont think the bike will let you start.

I think most newer Suzukis you have to pull the clutch in.

you dont need to pull the clutch in to start it and it will not start in gear. I have got the bike to crank with fuel pump working, injectors prime ect. but it will not start. If I turn the key to on and then hit rem start it will start up.

it sounds like your missing an ignition wire, your best bet is to get a copy of the electrical circuit from a suzuki dealer and then youll know exactly which wires need to be energized. im sure there is no kind of immobilizer on that bike

Well, I DID IT!!!!!! Apart from the basic connections (12v power, earth, tail lamp, siren, crank), the bit I got stuck on was how to get it to rem start. And this is how it is done for this bike (I guess others may be similar). The problem was getting the correct signal inputs to the ingition. On the right hand side of the bike, under the fairing is the socket for the wires from the base of ingition barrel. At this plug there are three wires that you use - orange, orange / YELLOW & BLACK/ white. The ingition wire from the alarm goes to the orange wire, and this is the bit that got me at first, cut the o/y and b/w and tape up the ends which lead back towards the front of the bike. Now bridge the o/y & b/w (which lead towards the back) with a 100ohm resistor. And that my friends is how you do it... Any questions just PM me.
