Motorcycle Alarms ?

I'm in the VA, DC, MD metropolitan area where there are plenty of motorcyles rider.  I have 6+ years of experience with car security from the basics to remote starts, etc.  I was wondering is anyone had any recommendations on motorcycles alarms as I continue to have customer approach me about this.  Some of my questions are:

What type of alarms are out there for motorcycles?.........What are the precautions of installing these alarms?.........Pros and Cons of motorcyles alarms?.......Level of difficulty versus car security?......Where can you obtain the wiring information for motorcyles?.........etc.........

These are just some of the questions I have.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

i've done two alarm system on bikes.  one on a  2003 GSXR1000 and a 2003 GSXR750....

Very easy.  In terms os what type of alarm system, i used a viper, basic model.  There are alarms systems that are specific for bikes but the only difference that I noticed is that the brain is filled with some type of silicone to prevent damage on the electrical components due to vibration.  I just filled it with regular silicone.

I installed a shock sensor and a mercury switch.  The biggest problem I had was locating the siren and the led.  We didn't want to drill any holes so we placed it in the OEM shift light. (looks beautiful).  You have to make sure that everything is properly secured and does not move at all.  A motorcycle has much more vibration then a car, so things tend to loosen up or brake off especialy after market parts. 

In terms of wiring, it's very straight forward.  The new bikes have a bit more electronics and software cause they come fuel injected and can be analyzed with computers.  So just need to watch out for that. 

It's pretty much like a car but more accessible.  that;s pretty much it....

I did a couple of GSX R and a few Hayabusa.   I used the viper alarm and also the valet start module (I believe the last one I used was 561T, but not sure about the model anymore).   But they work super great.    During remote start you have to bypass the switch with a resistor in order to do a remote start.     But they work great and very straight forward.
