Hi,

Has anybody ever attempted it? I have a Honda Silverwing scooter and have read about it being done. I however want to use a electronic version and not the vacuum model the other guy used.

Well, I attempted it and had success. The biggest problems were finding a place to put the cruise module and making a linkage to the bikes TB linkage. Works great. I even made a custom switch holder out of aluminum and polished it.

the SCS/Frigette cruise servo and electronics are about the same size as the GM electroc servo and is fairly water-tight.

Do a google search for Audiovox cruise control and you should find an article where a guy put a CCS-100 on a FJR1300. Takes a little ingenuity but looks like it worked fine. Here's the link.

Interesting seeing the install on the fjr1300 bike. I have pix posted in https://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/hondasilverwings/
of mine. I guess it is the instaler side of me that made me go to extremes with it. I made a custom aluminum housing for the controller and a throttle connection to leave the fact stuff alone. It really works pretty well and it is completely hidden in the scoot. Nobody even thinks about it until I tell them. Thanks for the replys!
