Hello out there, I just joined the forum, I'm seeking advice on a remote start/alarm setup on my motorcycle.
I need to take a instant signal of +12v that lasts .7 seconds, and delay it for 2 seconds, and then output for 1.5 seconds. (.7 secs is not long enough to start the bike when cold, and the delay is to allow the fuel injection to calibrate on startup).
My friend has come up with a possible solution to delay it, using the LM555 (https://www.national.com/mpf/LM/LM555.html) utilizing a POT that ranges from 1Mohm to 10Mohm, and a CAP that is 10uF. That SHOULD take care of the delay, but I have no clue where to start converting a .7secs signal to 1.5secs..
Anyone have a possible easier solution to incorporate the 2?
What is the make and model of your remote start? I have done a couple on bikes but the DEI pieces I used had a tachometer input (to control how long the starter is run) and a programmable diesel delay (to energize ignition for a preset time prior to energizing the starter).

Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

Were you able to get your remote start working? If so, where did you connect the brown & blue wires?
