I looked at an '07 Silverado today with the intention of finding a way to solder directly into the driver's door module instead of having to order a data interface. It turns out that on this truck, which was a fairly base model(power locks and windows, rubber floor, regular cab), the lock switch is a conventional type with wires which run in the cab to the BCM. I decided to take a pic and post since most of the tech info I've seen doesn't mention these wires at all and says that the trucks all require a data interface to do locks. I'm going to assume there are a few other Silverados/Sierras with this type of switch as well.

Pink/black and ORANGE / black are the wire colors I found for lock and unlock. Below is a pic of the driver's side fusebox, with the connector highlighted.

haha thanks man....did this vehicle even have a little key fob for keyless? also guys for the new chevys i like to use the 1701g module...works like a charm. all you have to do is run constant power, ground and parking lights....everything else is on the module...

Thanks, but Directed and Avox list lock wires in the fusebox. All 2 door Silverado's are this way...

Really...that shows how long it's been since I've played with Directed. I did check Audiovox before posting but I think they only had it listed on the '08.

You're saying all the regular cab Silverados? Or extended cab too but not crew cab?

I think the deal is anything 2 door is in the fuse box, anything 4 door is data. I think the extended cab is really just a single cab as far as doors that lock, isn't it? This is the way the old bodystyle Tundra was too...

ive found these wires on crew cabs as well, only trucks i have not seen these wires on was a high end unit equipped with factory remote start,i do mostly dealer work& alarms are not real common here anymore so i mainly do remote starts, so i rarely get a vehicle that has factory start, seems these wires are present in alot of the less than loaded trucks

in the grey plug plugged in to the board next to this harness is a light blue wire(-) that unlocks just the drivers door, on all the 1500's i have seen the pink/blk & org/blk lock &unlock all doors, but if these wires are present lt blue dr door only has been there too so i hook up 2 step unlock
