Installation of door lock actuators in vehicles with cable actuated lock systems.

You can find specific kits for about 60$ or try to save money and do it the way below. The vehicle is Toyota Tundra 06

Step 1.

Cut through housing.
This particular housing consists of 3 layers. A black plastic outer cover. Steel wire strands and an inner plastic tube. The steel strands are spiral wrapped over the inner plastic tube. Do so with caution, do not cut through inner cable. Make sure you cut enough housing for actuator bracket to travel when it locks and unlocks.

Step 2.

Bent metal strip provided for your particular vehicle.
Use any kind of spacers(ABS plastic in this case) to mount speed nuts (available @ your local home depot)
to hold wire. Screw it down.

Step 3.

Now mount the bracket on inner cable.
Run power from your security system or power lock kit.

Good luck.
