JUST SOME FYI. For anyone interested in using that extra button/trunk release button on their new alarm/remote starter in a 2009 Ford Escape. The factory key-fob has a hatch glass release button, but no interior button. Found that the small gauge BLACK / YELLOW stripe wire in harness going from under driver seat towards rear of vehicle is what can be used with a negative trigger. This should be tested with doors unlocked while pushing rear glass hatch release button. In the same area as PURPLE / white stripe for + parking lights. (Brakes are also PURPLE / white stripe, be sure to meter wires.) It may not be necessary since there is a button on the back door, but it made my customer happy when the glass popped all the way open before getting to the vehicle. Ultra Start 4295 programmed to hold trunk release button which unlocks doors and then opens trunk. May work in 2008 also, but not tested by me.
