Quick post to share wiring setup for two 535t modules, with venting and windows down options through SmartStart. On a pickup truck with no need for trunk release. Assuming you get the 535t’s installed and working and you have SmartStart already set up with D2D, here’s how to set up “Aux 1” in SmartStart to vent, and “Aux 2” in the app to roll down all windows. This was done on an F150 with a Viper 5305v but works in many configs.

- Join the red/white wires from 535t’s together.

- Then join three 1N4001 diodes together in the same direction, joining them only on the short, cathode side (meaning the side where the space between the white stripe and the end of the diode is shortest)

- join the joined red/white wires with the joined cathode side of the diodes.

- On the anode side of any one of the diodes, connect the violet/black aux 4 from the alarm. This is what SmartStart calls “Aux 1”.

- on any other of the diodes do the same but with the white/black wire from the alarm, this is aux 5 on the alarm, SmartStart calls it Aux 2.

- on the last diode, join the red/white trunk release wire from the alarm. This let’s you use the normal Aux button on the fob. Technically also lets you vent from the trunk release option in SmartStart.

- like normal, connect the orange 535t wires to the orange ground when armed wire. I don’t use the remote start orange, I use the orange in the smaller gauge 5-pin harness.

- in SmartStart, go to settings, click the vehicle, find aux settings, turn aux 1 and aux two on. I named aux 1 “WinVent” and Aux 2 “WinDown”. 7 character max.

- program the viper menu 2 option 14 for 30 seconds for aux 5. The 535t’s are smart enough to stop when the window gets down, as long as you did the normal learn procedure.

I think that’s all. Fun!

Photo taken just before soldering in the third diode, with everything tested and working at this point. posted_image
